Office + Compliance Manager

 

Job description:

The Office + Compliance Manager at Southern Spear Ironworks will support company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff. Duties + responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.

  • Providing historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

  • Maintaining office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.

  • Designing and implementing office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.

  • Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

  • Maintaining office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

We are a young and rapidly growing full service structural steel construction firm. As the Compliance + Office Manager, must have strong background in human resources management, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment. Here are our preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years in an office management, compliance or HR management role at a construction firm

  • Proven track record of excellence in the duties + responsibilities of the position (with references)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources, or other related field of study

  • Proficiency working with and managing diverse teams.
