Estimator

Requirements – Basic ability to read building plans.  Working knowledge of Microsoft excel, outlook, and word.  

Duties & Benefits – You will work with our estimating team to improve your skills as an estimator bidding on real world projects.  Our team will guide you through the process and help you hone your skills in plan reading and job cost analysis.

Assistant Project Manager

Requirements - Basic ability to read building plans.  Working knowledge of Microsoft excel, outlook, and word.

Duties & Benefits – You will work with our project management team to improve your skills and knowledge in record keeping, safety, budget management, and plan reading on real world projects.  Our team will guide you through the process and help you hone your skills as a project manager.  Southern Spear Ironworks has positions available in our fabrication shop and our field department.  Southern Spear Ironworks is also pleased to offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on our projects in Antarctica.

Office Management 

Requirements - Basic ability to organize documents.  Working knowledge of Microsoft excel, outlook, and word.

Duties & Benefits – You will work with our office management team to improve your skills and knowledge in record keeping, human resources, and bookkeeping.  Our team will guide you through the process and help you hone your skills as an office manager.  

Ironworker

Requirements – Construction experience.  Ability to read a tape measure and take direction.

Duties & Benefits – You will work with our ironworking crew to improve your skills and knowledge in welding, connecting, rigging, signaling, equipment operation, and plan reading on real world projects.  Our team will guide you through the process and help you hone the skills needed to embark on a career as an ironworker.  Southern Spear Ironworks is also pleased to offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on our projects in Antarctica.

Fabricator

Requirements – Shop/manufacturing experience.  Ability to read a tape measure and take direction.
